Invitation to Attend the “Vietnam – United States Trade Forum 2025”

09/12/2025

The Ministry of Industry and Trade cordially invites enterprises and organizations to participate in the Vietnam – United States Trade Forum 2025: “30 Years of Economic and Trade Cooperation – Overcoming Challenges, Entering a New Era.”

The Forum is scheduled to take place on December 10, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City.

Thirty years after the normalization of relations (1995–2025), Vietnam–U.S. economic and trade cooperation has grown strongly, based on major milestones such as the Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) in 2000, Vietnam’s accession to the WTO in 2007, the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2023, and ongoing efforts toward a Fair and Balanced Reciprocal Trade Agreement in 2025. As a result, bilateral trade has increased more than 330 times, reaching USD 149.5 billion in 2024, demonstrating deep integration of supply chains and the pivotal role of the U.S. market for Vietnam’s exports.

In the context of significant adjustments in U.S. trade policy under the second term of the Donald Trump Administration, Vietnamese enterprises need to promptly update information in order to proactively respond, protect supply chains, and maintain growth. 2026 is forecast to be a pivotal period in reshaping bilateral trade relations, opening a new era of cooperation.

The event is expected to welcome around 300 participants, including leaders of ministries and provincial authorities; Vietnamese and U.S. business communities and associations; retail groups, importers, logistics companies; the U.S. Embassy and the American Chamber of Commerce; as well as experts, scholars, and media agencies.
